Land To Market
Ecological Outcome Verification
'Nunyara' is part of a program that re-establishes the ecological state of the landscape. The aim being to show improvement from the original baseline assessment carried out in 2021.
Land to Market is an initiative through the Savory Institute that measures the Ecological outcomes of your farm. The measurements are taken every year from a starting point or base line reading. A verification seal is achieved upon monitoring improvement or stability over multiple seasons. This seal can then be issued as a sticker put on the lamb we sell from our farm, Nunyara.
Ecological health index ecosystem function is assessed through the Ecological Health Index (EHI). The EHI provides a robust and practical measure of the health of ecosystem processes on agricultural production land e.g. water cycle, nutrient cycle, energy flow and community dynamics.
Land to Market monitors, Harry Watson and Emily Little under the guidence of Tony Hill compiling the Ecological Health Index at 'Nunyara'.
